William “Bill” Macklem is a manufacturing and engineering director for Scott Paper/Kimberly Clark Pulp & Paper. Bill has been married to his wife Joy for 48 years and they have two sons Jason and Jonathan married to Whitney and Elizabeth respectively. They have four grandchildren: Piper, Ford, Whit, and Sutton. Bill is a native of PA and grew up on a family farm the son of a 5th generation papermaker. Bill is a proud graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and a Vietnam veteran. Bill served two tours of duty working for the US Navy Seabees and the Marines. Although Bill has lived all over the United States he finds East Tennessee to be “paradise”.
Bill has a lot of hobbies and is involved in a myriad of civic roles including the United Way, Boy Scouts, Methodist and community churches, the Tellico Village HOA. In his free time he likes to travel the world, go boating, and is an active participant in TV cruising and the Corvette club.
